Jeremy Absher :: Lead Guide - All Trips

Hey! I'm pumped that you are looking into joining us this summer as we take off for the wild outdoors! My name is Jeremy Absher; I am 31 years old. I am Wilderness First Aid Certified, and I will be the lead guide for all the trips this summer. God became real to me for the first time when I was hiking out west in Glacier National Park, Montana in the summer of 1997.

I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Biology degree in 2002. Currently, I am the City Director of Student Venture in Orlando, Florida. Student Venture is the middle and high school outreach of Campus Crusade for Christ. Shannon Absher :: Co-Leader - LOA II & IV Coed Trips

Hey! My name is Shannon Absher and I am the female leader for both of the coed trips this summer. I am 30 years old and I graduated from UGA with a degree in Management Information Systems. I am really looking forward to getting away for a couple weeks in the mountains to experience everything God has to reveal about Himself!

I have a passion for the outdoors and am especially excited for the opportunity to deepen my relationship with God and connect with all the girls on this trip. I currently work alongside my husband, Jeremy, with teenagers in Orlando, FL through the ministry of Student Venture. Pam Pitt :: Co-Leader - LOA II Coed Trip
Hi! I am so excited to help lead the coed trip this year, I can't wait! I think being away from our noisy lives and out in God's beauty long enough to quiet our hearts combined with quality teaching where we really dig into God's word is sort of like "the perfect storm" scenerio for God to show up in our lives. So...yeah, that is why I am looking forward to it, I long to see God in whatever ways He chooses to show Himself to me and I think this will be one amazing adventure with Him.

I graduated from the University of Missouri with degree's in Elementary and Special Education. In 1994 I got a Master's in Biblical Counseling from Colorado Christian University. I was on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ for 20 years working with college students and the last 5 years I have been working with MentorLink International, mentoring leaders here in the U.S. and abroad. I have 3 children, Katie, Bethany and Graham Monroe, My first husband Tim died of brain cancer in 1998. In His surprising kindness God brought John Pitt and his 4 children into our lives. John is the dearest man, with a huge heart for Jesus. He also happens to be a whole lot of fun to hang out with and is really jealous I get to do this!!! Jack Noonan :: Co-Leader - LOA III All Guys Trip

My name is Jack Noonan and I am 43! That makes me the old man of the group. I am excited to spend time with you guys on LOA1 in Yosemite Valley. I have a back ground in experiential education and as a trip guide for climbing, backpacking and boating. God used the outdoors big in my life before I became a Christian and has given me a new sense of awe at His creation as a believer.

I am area director for Student Venture in Chattanooga, TN. This summer I will celebrate my 13th anniversary to my beautiful wife Polly. Shawn Faulkner :: Co-Leader - LOA III All Guys Trip

I am excited to help co-lead the All Guys Life of Adventure Trip in the Grand Tetons this summer! My name is Shawn Faulkner; I am 30 years old. I was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and love the outdoors. I grew up hiking, camping and fishing with my family there. That is were I developed a love for the outdoors and for the mountains.

I graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Business Finance and played soccer for the Horned Frogs. Currently, I direct Student Venture in San Diego, CA. I am married to my beautiful and loving wife Heidi and we have two awesome boys, Jacob (4) and Levi (2). Polly Noonan:: Co-Leader - LOA IV Coed Trip

My name is Polly Noonan and it’s so cool that God has allowed me to be a part of the coed trip this summer! It’s such a gift to me. Before I had kids, I worked in various wilderness programs with troubled youth across the country. I really love spending time with my Savior in the woods! It’s a joy for me to pour into others in that setting as well! For the past ten years, it’s been pouring into my kiddos in the woods as much as we can- which I love. I’m so pumped to have eight days with my Father and some new friends in His glorious creation!

Jack (another trip leader) and I met rock climbing many moons ago and have now been married for almost 13 years. I am blessed to be mom to the most amazing 5 kids on the planet. I graduated from Lynchburg College with a degree in psychology. While in college, I worked for an experiential education company. After college, I was privileged to be able to lead troubled young folks backpacking, climbing, on ropes courses and paddling trips.
