Life of Adventure is the outdoor discipleship and leadership ministry of Student Venture which is the middle and high school ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. Although it is true that the first LOA trip was in the summer of 2004, everything began much earlier than that.

In the summer of 1997 is when Jeremy Absher, the founder of Life of Adventure, spent the summer in Glacier National Park in Montana. It was during his summer in Glacier that God really began to impress upon his heart the desire and vision for LOA. It took seven years from that first summer to see the vision become a reality.
